  • Dessert: Nice banana pudding tops off a good a meal at a friendly joint.

  • Beans: Very tender, but not much flavor.

  • Potato Salad: Nice mustard based, standard fair potato salad.

    • Potato Salad: Nice mustard based, standard fair potato salad.

    • Spare Rib: Very salty rub, tough with not enough smoke flavor. Tastes a lot like bacon – not good.

    • Brisket: Fatty, melt-in-your mouth. Nice, salty rub.

    • Sausage: Very moist, exploding with flavor. Nice amount of black pepper and casing is slightly tough.

    • Atmosphere: Friendliest Aggie I’ve ever met (next to K-Dog). This place is packed at high noon on Thursday. Linoleum table tops and tons of pictures. One worth special mention is a great picture of the Tyler Rose. Very business-like atmosphere, maybe because it’s noon on a weekday.

    • Coleslaw: Very good, big chunks of cabbage.
