bkarau’s Review of O O Smoke House

This is a nice looking roadside shack, with outside counter service only.  Brisket is naked, fire on the offset pit is oak, flies are plentiful.  The meat is creosoted and inedible.  The cobbler was pretty good, but it ain’t billed as the OO CobblerHouse.

bkarau’s Review of Hickory Bar-B-Que

Nice location just off the town square.  Shotgun setup with side dining room.  Kitschy, except for the pit, which was old school custom. Food was problematic.  Creosote on meat, setting the tone for this tour.  Bright spot was the banana pudding.

bkarau’s Review of Scholl Brothers Bar Bq

Nice exterior on the main drag.  Interior a bit too clean for a joint, but it’s nice.  State trooper really hit it off with K-Dog.  Pittsburgh sausage and spare ribs were the highlight.

ssweeney’s Review of Risckys Original Barbecue

Atmosphere: Original location. Grocery/Antiques/BBQ. Lady at the grocery counter says we’ve found the best ‘Q in Fort Worth. Separate food & beverage counters, with a single cashier at the end of the line. Picnic-style tables run through t

ssweeney’s Review of Floyds Bar-Be-Cue

Beans: Lots of little beef chunks. Good. Sweetness on the finish, but no spice. Atmosphere: Now this is definitely a joint! 2nd generation in the middle of a residential area. Pit boss does everything by feel on his grandfathe

ssweeney’s Review of Angelos
