  • Beans: Beans are soft & ready. Not much spice. OK, but undistinguished.

  • Brisket: Brisket is firm. It looks dry, but its not. Good smoke flavor… using different wood? Some pieces are better than others.

    • Sauce: Translucent, brown sauce. Has a sweet & sour feel to it. I like it!

    • Plus: Each of the plates came garnished with some pico de gallo and a jalapeno pepper. Nice touch.

    • Potato Salad: Creamy potato salad. Blah. Better with some pico mixed in!

    • Sausage: Made from ground brisket. Unique & beefy! This is a nice center-of-the-road sausage. Playing it safe here? Would have liked a bit more spice.

    • Spare Rib: Sweet rub on the rib. Its wet/damp. Strong smoke flavors. Its not pulling off the bone, and is chewy.

    • Atmosphere: Good roadside signage; drive-thru; eat-in dining room with a foot-activated sink. Order at the counter in the front room. Very nice folks here that are glad to see us in the middle of the afternoon. Vertical smoker with large pull-out shelves.
