ssweeney’s Review of R Bbq
  • Sauce: Good ‘doctored’ version of a commercial sauce.
  • Potato Salad: Good mustard-based style… with egg!
  • Beans: Soft borracho-style beans… lacking depth of flavor.
  • Sausage: Solid german-styled sausage

    • Sausage: Solid german-styled sausage, with some residual sweetness.
    • Atmosphere: A pink house, and the inside shows signs of a woman’s touch. Irma and Robert Rodriguez have owned & operated the place since about 2001. Our waitress, Vicky, is a cutie… so Wildman chats her up.
    • Brisket: Brisket is very firm and lean, and a bit dry. Good flavor and bark… this thing was obviously in the smoker a long time! Nice bit of fat along the top edge for flavor.
    • Brisket: Fatty is great! Rich meat, and moist.
    • Spare Rib: Greasy & good! Rib meat is so tender that it is falling apart… comes cleanly off the bone. Yum.
