  • Beans: Fairly standard pinto-based fare… but they feel as if they are 1000 degrees – OUCH! Must let them cool or risk burning the taste buds off my tongue.

  • Atmosphere: College co-ed hangout by TCU campus. There are some regul

    • Beans: Fairly standard pinto-based fare… but they feel as if they are 1000 degrees – OUCH! Must let them cool or risk burning the taste buds off my tongue.

    • Atmosphere: College co-ed hangout by TCU campus. There are some regulars here too, but the college kids are louder. $1.70 schooners. More ‘citified’ than I like, but overall a comfortable place.

    • Sauce: Almost as good as I remembered. This is an excellent sauce.

    • Spare Rib: Good rib. Nice color, rich meat. Probably not the best they’ve ever made, but these are darn good.

    • Bologna: Don’t bother

    • Salami: Good with sauce

    • Sausage: Mmmm. Flavorful. Good spices with a nice finish! Very good.

    • Brisket: Like this cut! Fatty & lean together in each slice. Good.
