    • Atmosphere: Ahhh–Houston’s 5th Ward–right across the street from ‘Midtown Wheels,’ and replete with a coin-operated coke machine in the restaurant. BBQ joints get no better, particularly when one factors in the inclusion of Louisana La Roux: ‘Love Abductor’ on the jukebox!
    • Spare Rib: Still pink, chewy. Good smoky crust, not too
      greasy.
    • Potato Salad: Too dry. Nah!
    • Hot Link: Homemade. Coarse grind, falling
apart. Chewy casing. Spicy (paprika?) Best thing on
menu. I ate WAY too much for the first stop o’ the
      day!
    • Beans: Ranch Style – Nothing special
    • Brisket: Brisket: Lean, tender, lightly seasoned. Darn good!
