crosen’s Review of Kozy Kitchen
  • Overall: Pretty nice joint. I’d come back. The lady that helped us had worked there for 50 years, and she was super friendly.
  • Potato Salad: Whipped with crunch, great flavor
  • Atmosphere: Little, broken down building

    • Overall: Pretty nice joint. I’d come back. The lady that helped us had worked there for 50 years, and she was super friendly.
    • Potato Salad: Whipped with crunch, great flavor
    • Atmosphere: Little, broken down building in the 5th ward of Houston. Friendly, good folk to help us. Torn up booths and chairs. Looks like they could get a crawd. Black folk jukebox a nice touch – serious blues is pouring out of it. Place is 50 years old.
    • Brisket: Very tender, moist, a little bland, fatty
    • Veal: Fatty cut. It was okay.
    • Pork: Very flavorful, tasty, hickory smoked
    • Spare Rib: Salty rub, tender, not much else
    • Sausage: Pure mystery meat, very scary!
    • Sauce: Tastes like ASS!!!
    • Beans: Spicy & Sweet, I loved it!
