dbarrow’s Review of Grand Prize BBQ

dbarrow’s Review of Grand Prize BBQ
  • Spare Rib: Very tender, fall off the bone style. Good smoke flavor but not enough of it and they definitely need to add more rub.
  • Brisket: Very nice, marbled smokey flavor, sliced just right. Firm but not too firm. Good stuff!

    • Beans: Tender and tasty with standard bean flavors. Slightly above average.
    • Sauce: Thick with not enough spice and flavor.
    • Coleslaw: Too shredded and slightly soupy, but not too bad.
    • Potato Salad: Mayonaise based with plenty of dill. Tasty!!
    • Sausage: Moist and tender with a slightly tough casing but it seems to work well together.
    • Atmosphere: Large stacks of mesquite wood out front. Southern Pride rotisserie regulated with fans. Cafeteria line style with tables. Run of the mill interior, nothing to brag about.
