  • Brisket – nice thick cut, good accordion style and very tender. Best VA brisket around. Could be star anise in the rub and/or marinade adds nice flavor.
  • Pulled Pork – true eastern NC style with lots of vinegar and red pepper.
  • Ribs – tough meat with fat not fully rendered. Good spicey rub.

Other Fare:

  • Potato Salad – standard fare
  • Cole Slaw – nasty thick cut mush
  • Baked Beans – better taste then it looks but nothing special

  • Southern Yanjkee smoker and a house trailer with a few folding tables and chairs for seating in a parking lot. You don’t come here for the ambience. Ronni4e is a character and a happy-go-lucky dude that knows his Q. Fun guy to chew the fat with and he gave us the scoop on another joint called Alamo. Ronnie’s is in an old gas station parking lot next to a mower resell or repair place – not much to look at. Most people get their Q to go.
