ssweeney’s Review of O O Smoke House

ssweeney’s Review of O O Smoke House

MAIN FARE:

Deep fried, pork stuffed, jalapeno – Now, THIS pork is really good!  Good and spicy!
Sausage – has a "summer sausage" flavor, but was smoked too fast… there is creosote in the flavor profile.
Rib is fully rendered. The problem is the creosote.
Pulled pork is moist and tender, but the flavor is "off".
The brisket has a funky color to it, and is not quite fully rendered. Texture is accordian-style, stand-up brisket.

ATMOSPHERE:

Corrugated metal building… single-wide sized.  The smokehouse is in an adjacent screened-in room.
Old tires, lawnmower, and sundry other items scattered around the property.
Piece-meal construction.

OTHER FARE:

Pintos – Blah. No seasoning.
Cole Slaw – OK. There is something different in here… RYE.  Unique.
Potato Salad – Pretty good.

Cherry Cobbler – OK
Peach Cobbler – OK
